As CEO, Jimmy is focused on positioning Solunar not merely as an equipment supplier, but as a trusted BESS integration partner for EPCC contractors, developers, asset owners and commercial and industrial clients. Under his leadership, Solunar supports clients in designing, integrating, commissioning, operating and maintaining safe, reliable and bankable energy storage solutions.
Solunar works with leading technology partners including BYD, GoodWe, EVE and other established energy-storage brands to deliver integrated solutions across commercial, industrial and utility-scale applications.
“Jimmy’s vision is to make BESS more practical, accessible and commercially viable for businesses and infrastructure owners — energy storage will become a critical infrastructure layer for Malaysia’s future.”
As Malaysia’s energy market evolves with rising maximum-demand charges, increasing solar adoption, grid constraints and the need for energy resilience, that future is arriving quickly.
Through Solunar, Jimmy is committed to helping businesses reduce electricity costs, manage maximum demand, strengthen energy resilience, optimise solar usage and accelerate the transition toward smarter clean-energy infrastructure.
Why Solunar Energy exists
Malaysia's solar market is becoming more competitive and margins are compressed. Customers now want more than panels — developers and asset owners want energy storage, and industrial clients want peak shaving, power expansion and energy resilience.
Solunar Energy exists to support this shift, giving EPCC companies, developers and asset owners access to better technologies, stronger integration support and long-term operational capability.
Solunar helps EPCC companies, solar developers and energy asset owners deliver bankable Solar + BESS projects without building full battery storage capability in-house.

Frequently Asked Questions
As early as the proposal stage, so battery sizing, PCS/EMS selection and O&M planning are correct before pricing is fixed.
No. The EPCC owns the client and site execution; Solunar supports the storage technology layer behind the scenes.
Planning a Solar + BESS project? Bring Solunar in early.
The earlier Solunar is involved, the better the battery sizing, PCS/EMS selection and O&M planning behind your proposal.
